That reminds me of another book I read on the technology of orgasm (see my other reviews), which suggested that the clitoris is in the "wrong place."There seems to be an active movement to promote the belief that women's widespread difficulty in achieving orgasm during conventional intercourse is an accident of nature, rather than a result of miseducation and early neglect: the lack of stimulation of the genital organs during development leads to atrophy of the relative brain areas and subsequent dysfunction of the organ, a physiological principle recognized in relation to other organs, but absolutely taboo to mention in the realm of sex, because the obvious implication is that childhood sex play is the best way to develop healthy clitoral function and thereby prevent female sexual dysfunction. This book repeats the conventional myth that sexual activity naturally "begins" at puberty.Interestingly, there is much evidence that regular or frequent orgasms correlate with health (including lower rate of heart disease and cancer).The book concludes with an unhelpful discussion of the difficulty of understanding the dimension of time, as a weak analogy for the difficulty of understanding the complex phenomenon of orgasm. An excellent book on a subject that every mature adult should read in order to keep them completely informed about their own body and how to optimize it. It may be more technical than most people would appreciate - but it is worth the effort to take the time to read and digest its contents.

I wish more books were this through in dealing with their subjects. He only touched on hacking orgasms, but I'll be thinking about the possibilities to years - I suspect.

A well-researched book based on data that comes from peer-reviewed journals. (I have a psychologist friend who wants to borrow the book when I've finished reading it.) This is not a "Cosmo" guide to sexual satisfaction. It does talk about what nerves enervate what muscles and organs, for those women who have partial success at stimulation of some body parts and no success at others. I am using this in conjunction with my physical therapist to help relax muscles and nerves tightened by emotional stress to that I can become more responsive. So far it's working! If you are having sexual responsiveness issues, this book might be part of a discussion with your physician and a physical therapist who is well educated (D.Sci) and familiar and experienced in working with with women's health issues. There is stuff for guys, but I didn't pay much attention to that.

But the fact is that for most people a balanced sex life is an essential part of healthy living. Yet despite the deluge of information about sex, it is amazing how much ignorance still exists. Most people working in psychology will have seen people who were convinced that they had an illness because he or she had failed to have an orgasm or had sometimes been less interested in sex.This is the kind of book that will probably get thumbed through a lot at the local lending library, but it is not in any way a "how to" book. It is instead a scholarly work on what is known about orgasm. It is a book of facts and figures, a few diagrams and a lot of scientific references.I have some minor gripes: the proofing could have been better: bromocriptine is one of a number of words that is misspelled. There is only a short discussion about why female orgasm exists at all. The male orgasm seems to have a straightforward evolutionary function, making males want to have sex more often, which in turn makes them more likely to have offspring. But how to account for female orgasm, when nearly three-quarters of women don't always reach orgasm during sexual intercourse? If the female orgasm had developed because of the same evolutionary pressures, females should have adapted to be as consistently orgasmic as males. (There is an excellent discussion of this issue in the recent book by Elisabeth Lloyd from Indiana University, which is referenced in this book). At some points in this book there is not enough of a distinction made between orgasm and arousal. For instance some women report that arousal rather than orgasm is what drives them to enjoy sex. There is also an over-emphasis on biochemical theories of orgasm, and an under-emphasis on the psychological, subtle and spiritual aspects. Even the topic of consciousness and orgasm gets only a brief chapter.If you are interested in a more comprehensive view of orgasm, you may want to supplement this book with the works of David Deida, Jenny Wade, Mabel Iam and Mantak Chia.But all that being said, this is the best single book on the physiology, biochemistry and pathology of orgasm. It also highlights that there is still a great deal that is known.The book also gives quite a good summary of some of the approaches that may help people who feel that they have a problem with achieving orgasm. It is essential reading for anyone working with relationship problems. And if the only thing that comes from this book is a greater understanding that orgasm is not the only consideration in intimate relationships, that would be worthwhile in itself.This book is almost unique, and apart from the points that I have raised, I recommend it to anyone who needs a reliable account of the physical aspects of orgasm, and suggestions for helping with problems.

This book, or so called book is more like a small pamphlet or brochure. It has some good techniques in it but only for the person that doesn't know anything basic. It has a rear naked choke, the basics of the mount position, and the difference between full guard and half guard. Like I said, very basic on a small pamphlet type book with very few pages. Should be worth $0.99 retail. If you're looking to learn the very basics and have no knowledge of ju jitsu or the basics of the ground game, this could be a book for you, otherwise stay away.

This is a new subject for me but one that I am finding more and more compelling. Taking steps to protect oneself and keep fit in the interim makes a lot of sense. Knowing that stereotypical martial arts in themselves are not the answer is an eye-opener. It is important to make the distinction between them and defensive disciplines. Throughout the entire book the author does an excellent job of not only informing you, but entertaining you as well. The author does an excellent job of exposing the truth about many of the martial arts myths, legends, and mysteries. Overall this is a good book injecting some much needed reality into the many myths that surround the martial arts. The information is presented well by Sam Fury who clearly has good martial arts experience and knowledge. The book is a fast read and held my interest throughout. Enjoy

I have always thought that martial arts were not for me, because I am more like a peaceful guy. But I saw that this was not just about hitting to your opponent, but to gain discipline and self-confidence. It also increased my strength and stamina while learning something new. I’m really happy to have acquired this book.

I really didn't put much faith in a short pamphlet on ground fighting, but I've got to give this one credit. It does a decent job covering the basics that you would learn in the first few months in most jujitsu classes, it just lacks a training partner.

My brothers been doing BJJ for a few months now and he likes to 'practice' on me. I got this book a few days ago and today I got him to submit! haha classic! I'm not lending it to him

Great tips for anyone looking to step up their game. This book covers freaking everything! Some books include strategies to get your opponents in a hold but nothing about what to do if you get put in that same hold, but this book is very detailed with great pictures!

Ground fighting techniques to destroy your enemy is literally a 'no holds barred' approach to groundwork. I love the way all situations are taken into account. If one aspect of a move doesn't work, then "do this"--never giving in to the unpredictability of your opponent. I studied Krav Maga for a year and a half, and already had exposure to some of the techniques. I learned more than I already knew, that's for sure. This reads like "Bruce Lee's Tao of Jeet Kune Do", full of illustrations but light on philosophy with more emphasis on instruction. Not at all a bad approach, you will have endless hours of quality training. Get your ground game up, buy this!

Basically I am a practical man in this practical world and the author in this book have give basics in detail about martial arts not only about fighting with opponent but also explained the way we have to be but 4 stars is only because I felt something is missing.
