This was a major disappointment. The table of contents makes it look like chapters are several pages long. In reality the chapter starts with a title page, followed by a blank page and then the information which is followed by a blank page at the end of the chapter. So when looking at the table of contents you can pretty much remove 3 pages from most chapters. Then the information is hardly in book format, but instead it is bulleted lists. I was most looking forward to the chapter on choosing a breed, only to be thoroughly disappointed that not a single breed was discussed. Instead it was a list of things to consider, but even then it didn't match those with a breed. This book left me with more questions than answers!
Very good info for the 'beginner' and will be good reference in the future. The Coturnix and Japanese Jumbo are just the sweetest breed.Enjoying my 6 hens and male very much. They love to be picked up and get excited when given new grass hay to lay/ make nests in.I'm really enjoying watching and listening to them. The largest hen started laying the beautiful marble looking eggs right on schd at 7 wks....one almost every day. Now I just have to master my egg cutter scizzors!
this is not a well written book. It has many grammatical errors and poor sentence structure. It seems to be self published, no real editor world let this be signed off under their name . The information is rudimentary...extremely so.
Sorry I have to agree with others that say save your money. The books is tiny and little real information is actually given. The book publisher wanted to say there was more than a hundred pages I cam sure As I have b=never seen such a huge amount of blank pages and clearly no concern of actual content with in this tiny book the author repeats himself often.Sorry better to just look up a site on quail farming the internet, as the information here is far less than some one page articles, in my opinion..
This book is informative , but is repetitive on its information , it will help , but it's not the total informative guide I was looking for, Still its a good starter point for the beginner who knows totally nothing about Quail.
